Devajyoti Ray is today an important emerging Indian visual artist. His new style of art is called Pseudorealism, wherein Ray infuses abstarct colour scheme, meaningless shapes, and juxtapose all that to create a comprehendible visual imagery which looks real and yet not real. Ray's style is thus called Pseudorealism.
Having Showed in Singapore in 2005, Walsh academy, New York in 2006, Ray is now scheduled to exhibit his paintings once again in Mumbai's prestigious Jehangir Art Gallery

Perhaps the most promising artist of India in present days, Ray's works were displayed recently at Planet Art gallery. The display also had works of Sudip Roy, Jogen Chowdhuri, Purushottam Talamane and many others. While Sudip Roy's paintings showed the same romanticist exhuberance which is a halmark of the artist, Ray's works were bright and bold and had the capability of attracting anybody's attention to them easily.
